EarningsProject Overview
Empowering Small Businesses through Collective Purchasing For this project, I led the UX/UI design for a startup aiming to innovate the B2B procurement space. The objective was to design a comprehensive Group Buying website tailored specifically for small companies. By aggregating the demand of multiple small businesses, the platform leverages collective purchasing power to unlock highly affordable deals from vendors. The ultimate business goal was to create a vibrant, two-sided marketplace where small businesses save money on supplies, and the startup generates sustainable revenue through vendor platform fees.
The Problem
Small businesses often struggle with high operational costs because they individually lack the purchasing volume required to negotiate wholesale discounts with vendors. Conversely, vendors find it time-consuming and expensive to market to fragmented, individual small businesses. There was a clear need for a centralized platform to bridge this gap. However, building a successful two-sided marketplace required an interface that was equally intuitive for budget-conscious buyers looking for deals and vendors managing bulk orders.
The Solution
I designed a dynamic, conversion-optimized B2B marketplace that makes group purchasing seamless. The website focuses heavily on "Affordability" as its core value proposition, using clear visual indicators to show users exactly how much they save by joining a group deal. To ensure buyers never hit a dead end, I also designed a custom "Restock Request" pipeline, allowing companies to easily ping vendors for out-of-stock items. This keeps user engagement high and drives continuous platform transactions.
I designed two style for our client to choose.
